Foodie Pen Pals January

It’s the last day of the month – do you know what that means? Well, other than the fact that I get paid today…it’s Foodie Pen Pal reveal day!!!

This month I was sent a package from the wonderful Haley who, unfortunately, doesn’t have a blog to link to but she is an active reader of many different blogs – hopefully I’m on her list now! 🙂

—>  At the end of my post I’ll include a little rundown of the Foodie Pen Pal project and how YOU can join next month! (Even if you don’t have a blog!) <—

My package from Haley had a little bit of everything in it – just like I like it!

My package started off with some yummy blue corn chips and dip mix! I’m excited to put these to use – maybe for the 2-person Super Bowl party that we are going to have in our house next weekend.  2 people – me and Alexis.  Tommy doesn’t follow sports.  Like, at all.

Looks delicious. And look at the name of the chips - Garden of Eatin'. How adorable is that?!

Haley also sent me some snacks to enjoy.  Some popcorn topping to make my popcorn a little bit more tasty and not so “average”.  A Zone Bar which she says she loves for breakfast! I’ll definitely throw that in my purse for a quick breakfast on the run.  And the ALWAYS appreciated Justin’s peanut butter.  *drool*

Variety of snacks!! Of course the hazelnut butter is what has my interest the most here. I cannot wait to spread it on some apples!

Then, she was sweet enough to pack some thirst quenchers as well! Tea & more tea! How did she know I was a tea freak?  I love this girl!

My daughter, Alexis, has had this Honest Tea before but I haven't yet. She says I'm going to love it!

I had a wonderful Foodie Pen Pal this month! Thank you so much Haley for the wonderful goodies that you sent! You did a fantastic job!

Yay! All of my happy goodies on display

This month I sent a package to Sarah at The Smart Kitchen blog.  Check out her post about what I sent her!

Do you want to get your own Foodie Pen Pals package too? Check it out:
-On the 5th of the month, you will receive your penpal pairing via email. It will be your responsibility to contact your penpal and get their mailing address and any other information you might need like allergies or dietary restrictions.
-You will have until the 15th of the month to put your box of goodies in the mail. On the last day of the month, you will post about the goodies you received from your penpal!
-The boxes are to be filled with fun foodie things, local food items or even homemade treats! The spending limit is $15. The box must also include something written. This can be anything from a note explaining what’s in the box, to a fun recipe…use your imagination!
-You are responsible for figuring out the best way to ship your items depending on their size and how fragile they are. (Don’t forget about flat rate boxes!)
-Foodie Penpals is open to blog readers as well as bloggers. If you’re a reader and you get paired with a blogger, you can choose to write a short guest post for your penpal to post on their blog about what you received. If two readers are paired together, neither needs to worry about writing a post for that month. *US Residents only please at this time- hopefully we can expand soon!*
