Can you handle the cute?

One of my very best girlfriends, Kristin, had a baby just a short time ago.  It’s so much fun to watch your friends have babies and be parents!  When they come out looking as cute as Kristin’s did it’s an added bonus & you can’t help but love them and want to snuggle them for the entire time you are in their presence.

As I mentioned earlier I was going over to Kristin’s house to celebrate her birthday with her and our other good friend Amanda.  We were going to watch Bridesmaids, eat brownies and have a great time together.  And we did! It was so nice to see both of them (and little Sophia) and be able to sit and talk for a good while.

We had lunch….

Veggie sandwich with cantalope

And “Ooh’d and Aah’d” at Sophia…

The Birthday Girl, Kristin, and Sophia

And snuggled her and took pictures with her…

This one made my ovaries ache. If only I could guarantee we'd have a girl...maybe I would think about it. Nah....

Me and Amanda and baby Sophia

We gave Kristin some presents and brownies! I mean, what is a party without some form of chocolate?

Happy Birthday, sweetie!

Make a wish!

I hate this picture of me but it looks great of Kristin so we'll go with it.

And Missy, their black lab, will not be ignored.  She was my first favorite baby in their family after all!

Love, love, love her!

We got about 1/4 of the way through Bridesmaids and we ended up talking for the remainder of the time I was there. I hope they finished it after I left! What a fantastic movie. I need to buy that one – it’s totally a keeper!

I had a great time with the girls today.  Before we all start working again we need to get together more often. I could definitely stand a healthy dose of Sophia on a weekly basis. 🙂

Happy Birthday, K!

Food today was good! For breakfast I tried a new cereal that Alexis picked up at the store.  With new cereals you win some and you lose some.  This one wasn’t horrible but we definitely won’t be getting it again.

The name Puffins should have clued us in...

Lunch was the sandwich listed above and a brownie with milk. Yumm…. Those Ghiradelli Ultimate Fudge brownies knock my socks off Every.Time!

Dinner was Buffalo Chicken salad for the family:

I get tempted everytime I make these. I adore buffalo chicken!

But I stay firm to my pescaterian ways and I made mine a tuna salad.

Tuna, artichoke hearts, lettuce, tomato, cucumber and 2 tsp ranch dressing.

Exercise was on the agenda for this afternoon but a thunderstorm blew through at the time I was going to get Alexis from school.  The dogs have a hard time with the thunder so we opted to stay home. We’ll work in our cardio over the weekend – no big deal.

SparkPeople log for today.

There’s another brand of Barbara’s Puffins I really like. I forget what it’s called but it kind of looks like Cap’n Crunch, but not as sweet.
